Litigation Associate

The Westport, Connecticut office of Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated® firm designated one of the “Best Companies to Work For” among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking a Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in the Connecticut Courts to join our Employment & Labor team. The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from inception through resolution. Handle extensive discovery practice. Regularly handle court appearances and depositions. Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

• 5+ years of employment litigation, commercial litigation, professional or general liability experience preferred.
• Experience handling litigation in federal and state court in Connecticut.
• Experience developing strategy, drafting pleadings, taking/defending depositions, arguing motions and the capability of working independently.
• JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Connecticut.
