Overview

The Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich, recognized as one of the “Best Companies to Work For” among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report,  is seeking a litigation attorney with a minimum of 2 years of professional liability, commercial and/or civil litigation defense experience. Experience in Federal or Commercial Division courts is preferred but not required. The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all aspects of case files from inception through resolution. Communicate with insurers and clients. Handle a wide array of professional liability matters, including malpractice claims against attorneys, insurance agents/brokers, accountants, and real estate agents.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience
  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
  • Admitted in NY
  • Superior academic credentials 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The total annual compensation range for this position is $105,000- $125,000.  Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to base salary, Kaufman Dolowich offers an annual discretionary bonus, performance-based bonus, unlimited PTO, professional and client development and a full comprehensive benefits package.
