Human Resources Assistant

Kaufman Dolowich, recognized by U.S. news in their list of “Best Companies to Work For - Law Firms” is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and contribute to the overall success of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems.
• Answer general HR-related questions from employees.
• Help manage employee attendance and timekeeping records.
• Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including completing paperwork and setting up necessary systems access.
• Help organize employee events, activities, and wellness programs.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
• Provide administrative support for performance review processes and other HR programs
• Reconciling benefit statements with all providers.
• Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person on the team.
• Create monthly newsletters/birthday and anniversaries announcements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of HR experience required
• 1–2 years of administrative experience in a professional services or law firm environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems is a plus

Target Hiring Range: $45,000 - $55,000
