Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

The Woodbury office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP, nationally recognized law firm honored by U.S. News as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms,” is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with at least one year of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation to join our practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Communicating directly with clients and providing regular case updates
• Taking and defending depositions
• Handling mediations
• Participating in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, and trials

• JD degree with excellent academic credentials
• Law Review and/or Moot Court experience is preferred
• 1+ years of experience in commercial and/or employment litigation
• Admittance to practice in New York
• Exceptional writing, research, oral and written communication skills
• Experience handling employment litigation matters, including but not limited to employment discrimination, workplace harassment, wage and hour disputes, and traditional labor law matters is preferred
• Experience handling employment litigation in federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions is preferred
• Experience handling investigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, the New York State Department of Labor, EEOC and other state and local human rights agencies is preferred

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000. Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
