The Kaufman Dolowich Chicago office—part of a nationally recognized law firm with more than 250 attorneys across the country—is seeking a talented and driven Litigation Associate to join our expanding and highly respected litigation team.

Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare, draft, and argue motions
- Participate in court appearances, status conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and other litigation proceedings
- Develop case strategy and manage day-to-day litigation responsibilities
- Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic counsel and regular case updates
- Collaborate with attorneys across multiple offices and practice groups on complex and challenging matters
- Assist with trial preparation and other high-stakes litigation activities
Qualifications
- Admission to practice law in Illinois required
- Minimum of 3 years of defense litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to assume increasing responsibility
Preferred Experience
- Insurance defense litigation
- Experience handling depositions, motion practice, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Experience managing matters independently

Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $200,000
