The Los Angeles office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service national law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is seeking a Legal Malpractice and Accountants Malpractice Partner to join its growing practice group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with a strong background in legal malpractice and accountants malpractice defense to assume a leadership role within a nationally recognized firm. The ideal candidate will bring strategic litigation experience, strong leadership and mentoring skills, and a commitment to exceptional client service. Portable business is welcomed but not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead, grow, and oversee the Legal Malpractice, Accountants Malpractice, and Professional Liability practice
- Handle complex defense matters through all phases of litigation
- Develop and maintain relationships with insurers, insured professionals, brokers, and clients
- Mentor and supervise associates and business professionals
- Drive business development, marketing, and cross-selling initiatives
- Collaborate with firm leadership and related practice groups on strategic growth opportunities
Qualifications
- Admission to the California State Bar required
- 10+ years of legal malpractice and accountants malpractice defense experience
- Strong litigation, leadership, client management, and business development skills
- Experience representing insurers and/or insured professionals preferred
- Experience representing accounting professionals in state and federal courts, before professional organization committees, and in regulatory proceedings
- Strong understanding of accounting and auditing documents and financial statements

Base Salary Range: $200,000–$300,000
